In the past few years, I have rarely been to a regular wedding. Or what I might consider a traditional wedding. The one we went to in Texas not only had a Groom’s cake (with Longhorns on it), but the bride had taken photos of herself in her wedding dress and father’s cowboy boots. Another wedding we went to included a visit from Pat the Patriot:
At another wedding, we were brought up to the 14th floor above Washington, D.C. with sweeping views of the monuments and my cousin getting dollar bills stuffed down her dress. And she isn’t a spring chicken, either.
This weekend, we have more memories in the making as there are 2, TWO!, weddings to go to. My cousin Richard is getting married to Marissa in CT and our friends Mike and Marisa (notice, same name, different spelling) are getting married in NY. They both hold a promise of fun, good times, and slight headaches (open bars at both) with ample opportunity to take lots of great photos. I cannot wait 🙂
